Coaches Corner

Coach Jacci Storey

Coach Storey with son and daughter following winning the 2026 conference championship

Q: What Sport(s) do you coach?

A: I am the Head Coach of the Boys Cross Country, Boys Track and Field, Girls Track and Field programs.

Q: How many years have you been coaching? How Many years at JPS?

A: I have been coaching since 2002 (24 years) and have been a member of the Jenison Coaching Family since 2015 (11 years)

Q: What coaching awards or accomplishments you have received?

A: At Jenison, in the last 9 years, we've accomplished:

- 2 Time Regional Coach of the Year

- 3 Time Conference Championship Title in Cross Country

- 2 Time Conference Championship Title in Boys Track

- 1 Time Conference Championship Title in Girls Track

- 2 Time Regional Championship Title in Cross Country

- 3 Time Top 10 State Finals finisher in Cross Country

- 1 Time Top 5 State Finals finisher in Cross Country

- 1 Individual State Champion in Cross Country

- 7 All Americans in Cross Country

Q: What is one of your favorite memories of playing or coaching?

A: In 2017, We tied our 1st Jamboree, won our 2nd Jamboree and won the Conference Championship by 4 only points. A victory that hasn't been done in 33 years. To watch the team come together for an unknown and work incredibly hard to make Jenison history was incredible. It was a season I'll never forget.

Q: What is a goal of yours for the 2026-27 school year?

A: Boys Cross Country: The team continues to build each year in determination, grit and resilience. I do believe we have a shot at achieving State Champions as a team this year. The team is young, hungry, and talented.

A: Boys Track and Field: A dream we've been chasing for awhile now has been Regional Champions. Our Region has a very competitive team but the boys each year continue to work together and do the unthinkable. I believe with their work ethic, togetherness, and hard work~ this dream can be achieved.

A: Girls Track and Field: After winning a conference title which hasn't been done in 7 years, my next goal is to get more girls qualified for the individual state finals. The first goal was to have them believe they were capable, the next step is showing how good they are!

Q: What is your Favorite Sports or motivation movie?

A: 3 way tie between McFarland USA, Miracle & Remember the Titans

Q: What is your favorite post contest(game) meal?

A: ICE CREAM!
